STEPHANundVERENA invited to a special, synergetic event on the 29th of September at 4pm. Coming from Magdeburg, writer and performer Herbert Beesten performed his texts directly in the middle of the installations of STEPHANundVERENA.

During his lecture, Herbert Beesten moved together with the audience through the exhibition and performed his texts directly in the middle of the installations of STEPHANundVERENA. He chose all his text fitting perfect to the themes touched by the artworks. The lecture enriched the expression of the installation and vice-versa.

Extraordinary lecture in the middle of the prepared rooms from STEPHANundVERENA

The writer, poet and poetry slam performer fron Magdeburg Beesten enriched last Sunday the cultural summertime at Sonnenschloss Walbeck. Herbert Beesten not only is an intelligent writer, but also a very good actor. The 1,5 hours of lecture was an exciting walk through fine arts and literature.

Herbert Beesten recited by heart and chose the texts fitting to the themes of the prepared rooms from STEPHANundVERENA. So one could hear a shortstory of the nightlive of workers in the city of Magdeburg in the former workshop of the horse carts.

In the former cow stable of the castle he read a short story of the seven stomachs of the cows.

In the former dining hall where the nuns and later the boarding pupils ate, Herbert Beesten performed a poem about eating meat, killing and the sense of all this.

In the roominstallation where real water rippled from the ceiling, the poet became a river himself.

In the last room, the blue salon, the heart of main building of the castle he exploded with his poem "Music of the Future" and the audience thanked with vast applause.
